Girls Just Wanna Have Cookie Dough for Breakfast

True life: I love dessert. I will take any opportunity to try new treats, which is why I took my mom to Cookie Dough Confections, a raw cookie dough shop, on our first morning in NYC. I had read that this shop attracted hour long waits, so I wanted to get in line before they opened. Typically I would not have cookie dough for breakfast, but that is one thing I love about traveling- having the opportunity to get out of my normal routine for a few days.

The shop opened at 10 am so we arrived around 9 to secure our spot in line. At first we walked up to the store and thought we were the first to arrive. We soon realized that the line formed across the street, but we were still only a few parties ahead of us. Before the store opened, a friendly employee brought us a menu so we could start planning our breakfast. We also received a ticket which allowed us to enter the shop. You must turn the ticket in once you are allowed to enter the shop and the ticket color changes daily- so don't try to purchase a ticket from an online seller. Each customer is restricted to a 4-item limit and I noticed that most people were purchasing the maximum amount of product. We were not planning to buy any cookie dough pints, so we skipped the fridge and waiting in line at the cookie dough counter

We decided to splurge and each get two scoops of the magical raw dough. I choose Nuts For Nuts ( peanut butter + Reese’s Cups + Reese’s Pieces) and Cake Batter (cake batter + white chips + chocolate chips + sprinkles) and my mom picked Salty And Sweet (sugar cookie + salted caramel + dark chocolate chips + sea salt) and Signature Chocolate Chip. It was really tough to choose because all of the flavors sounded delicious.

The shop was so cute and I knew I couldn't pass up the pink waffle cone. A few of the other ways to enjoy the cookie dough include:

1, 2, or 3 scoops in a cup

Ice Cream Sundae

Cookie Dough Milkshake

Cookie Dough Ice Cream Pie

Cookie Dough Fudge

The shop also offers baked treats and cookie dough to go. With so many great options at this confectionary it is really difficult to choose what to get, so I can understand why most people utilized all of their 4-item limit.

After ordering we walked to Washington Square Park for a nice spot to sit and enjoy our breakfast. This park is a quick 2-minute walk from the confectionary and it makes for the perfect spot to people watch and enjoy the cookie dough. Most people who walked past us looked very envious of our brightly colored treats.

The cookie dough was very decadent! It tasted just like normal cookie dough, but there was no fear of salmonella. Unfortunately, the dough was very rich so we could not finish was we ordered. If you have access to a refrigerator, I recommend ordering a container of cookie dough to go and enjoying it over a few days. If you are traveling like us, I would still suggest stopping by Cookie Dough Confections for a unique twist on cookies. This was a fun way to kick off our day of exploring the city!

There are many different flavor options to enjoy at Cookie Dough Confections. The ones that looked the best to me included:

Brookie Dough

signature chocolate chip + brownie batter, swirled together

Gimmie Smore

signature + hershey bar + toasted marshmallows + graham crackers

Fluffernutter

peanut butter + darkchocolate chips + marshmallow fluff

Heavenly

sugar cookie + nutella + chocolate chips + caramel bits + sea salt

I found these flavor descriptions on their website. Please check it out for more additional flavors!
